A short daily log can still become hard to restart if missing a few days leaves a pile of blank pages to deal with. I think a bullet journal is more forgiving when you date the next page and carry forward only tasks that still matter, rather than trying to reconstruct the gap. The system should make it easy to return, not turn a break into another task.
Agreed, and I'd keep fixed-date commitments in the calendar rather than relying on migrating them out of the log. A missed week shouldn't make an appointment disappear, and migration doesn't need to become a second calendar with worse handwriting.
The carry-forward bit only works if the task still matters. If the same vague line keeps coming back, make it a specific next step or park it. Otherwise migration becomes the catch-up pile by another name.
