Title: Recurring trackers seem like the easiest part of a bullet journal to digitize
Post by: kellym on Oct 18, 2026, 01:31 PM
I'm starting to think the recurring trackers are the one part of my bullet journal that would actually be easier to keep digitally.

I don't mind writing things out, but drawing the same habit grids and monthly chore trackers over and over gets a bit tedious. I'd rather spend that time on the notes and doodles I actually enjoy doing on paper.

Has anyone moved just their trackers into something like Google Sheets while keeping the rest of their journal on paper? I'm curious whether having everything in two places becomes annoying.

I'd keep the digital tracker to the repeatable checkboxes, then add context in the paper journal only when there's something worth explaining. That gives each one a different job instead of recording the same thing twice.

I'd try moving one tracker first, preferably one you need to update when your journal isn't with you. Whether two places gets annoying may come down to that extra step of opening it versus the time saved setting it up on paper.

I'd move the chore tracker first. Chores don't always fit neatly into monthly boxes, so a running last-done or next-due list could save rebuilding the grid. I'd keep habit marks on paper if seeing them alongside the month matters to you.
