I tried a month-end review after September and kept it to what got finished, what kept being postponed, and what I can stop carrying forward. No habit percentages or tallying every little thing. It was more useful than I expected, so I'm keeping the review short.
The postponed list is probably where the useful information is. Note why something keeps slipping before carrying it forward; it may need a different slot, or it may not be a priority anymore.
I'd look at whether those rolled-over tasks still belong on this month's list at all. Some are waiting on a date or another person, and moving them forward every month makes the list look busier than it is.
I also separate things I can act on from things waiting on someone else. Otherwise they sit on my list looking like I've just failed to get round to them.
Let the finished list include something you enjoyed or felt good about, too—not just tasks crossed off. That keeps the review short without making it all about productivity.
