If I've written three versions of the same worry and still feel stuck, I'd probably stop there. Filling the rest of the page isn't going to help just because it's blank.

I leave a little clear space around the washi hinge too, or nearby sticker layers catch the ticket flap and make a bulky ridge.

When I'm comparing an imported planner with a simpler option I can get locally, I think the expensive one has to offer more than a pretty cover or extra accessories. Shipping adds to the decision, so for me the higher price is only worth it if the layout or format fixes something that actually gets in my way. Otherwise, I'd rather keep that money for refills or supplies I'll use up.

You might not need rings if most of your notes stay in date order. A contents page in a notebook would probably do the job. I'd choose rings if there are particular reference pages you expect to keep moving around.

I'm trying to figure out where to keep notes that might need rearranging later. A bound notebook keeps everything in order without much setup, while a ring planner lets me move pages around, but also seems like more to manage. I haven't used a ring setup enough to know whether that flexibility would matter to me, or if I'd mostly want the simplicity of a notebook. For people who've used both, did you end up rearranging pages often?

I'd look at whether those rolled-over tasks still belong on this month's list at all. Some are waiting on a date or another person, and moving them forward every month makes the list look busier than it is.

For double-sided class notes, I'd be more concerned about bleed-through than a faint shadow of writing. I'd want to try the same pen on both sides of a Moleskine page before deciding whether it works for me.

I hang anything that needs a hanger as soon as it comes out of the dryer, before it lands in the basket. Then the later job is just folding, rather than dealing with a separate pile of things to hang.

Maybe keep the weekly pages for writing and put the occasional sticker or ticket on the monthly page instead? You'd still have somewhere for the little bits you want to keep, without having to decorate every week.

Pen choice explains some of the split. For my planning, faint show-through is less bothersome than ink bleeding onto the next page, so two people can use the same notebook and judge the paper quite differently.
