Where does the longer journalling go on a scrapbook page?

Labels work for dates and names, but they don't leave much room for a proper paragraph. When a page has several photos and a bit of story behind them, how do you fit the writing in without crowding the layout? Do you use a separate journalling card, tuck it behind a photo, or give it a page of its own? I'm especially interested in what stays easy to read when you flick back through the album.

I'd add a fold-out flap at the page edge and put the paragraph on its plain inside. It stays with the photos and is easy to open when you look back through the album.

For a longer account, I'd give it the facing page and link it to the photos with the date or a small matching detail. The paragraph stays easy to read without squeezing into the collage.

Set the writing space aside first, then fit the photos around it. One fewer photo is better than cramming a paragraph into tiny labels.
