How do you care for a leather Traveler's Notebook cover as it ages?

I'm trying to settle on a sensible care routine for a leather Traveler's Notebook cover. Would you leave it alone apart from wiping off dirt, or condition it now and then? I'd rather not change its colour or feel just to keep it looking pristine.
