A pricier planner needs to solve a real planning problem

When I'm comparing an imported planner with a simpler option I can get locally, I think the expensive one has to offer more than a pretty cover or extra accessories. Shipping adds to the decision, so for me the higher price is only worth it if the layout or format fixes something that actually gets in my way. Otherwise, I'd rather keep that money for refills or supplies I'll use up.

I'd try pencilling in an ordinary, slightly messy week, with the appointments and to-dos that usually fight for space. That should show whether the layout helps, not just whether it looks good in photos.
