Do you write journal entries for someone who might find them later?

I've been wondering whether a journal changes when you picture someone finding it years later. It might be useful to explain who 'Sam' is or why Tuesday mattered, but I suspect I'd start writing for an audience and make an ordinary entry oddly formal. Do you add context for that possible reader, or keep entries strictly for yourself?

I write for myself, adding a few words when a name or event would be hard to place later. No need to turn Tuesday into a case history for a hypothetical reader.
